The Centre is dedicated to Machine Learning, Pattern Recognition and Computational Methods in general. With partners Meraka and DPSS at the CSIR various projects in Remote Sensing, Radar and Electronic Warfare are being performed.

The Centre also manages the Department's Linux computer cluster infrastructure.
