Question: How does one prevent the web browser pop-up about SSL certificates when visiting a HTTPS UP site?
Answer: UP web sites tend to use certificates signed by the UP Root Certificate Authority (CA) and not SSL certificates signed by a trusted third party (trusted by your browser) such as Verisign or Thawte. To prevent the pop-up window, see https://www.up.ac.za/certificates .
